The Global Seismic Hazard database can be downloaded through the Download Data subsection which also provides details about the data, utilities for data plotting and other useful information. The result of the service is TGZ-file (zipped tar file). It can be unzip with such programs like 7ZIP (http://www.7-zip.org/), Winzip (http://www.winzip.com) or others. |

Disclaimer We furnish no guarantee and liability for the information on this page. The assessment of the earthquake hazard for the earthquake zonation map is from 1997 - 1999. It represents the scientific status at that time with respect to a global analysis of the earthquake hazard. The conducted earthquake hazard assessments are based upon the assumption that the observed spatio-temporal behaviour of the seismicity continues in the future. In particular, the world map or parts thereof do not substitute national earthquake hazard estimations and do not have the status of an official seismic hazard map. |
